Virtual Blood Drive

Creating a blood drive isn't about a loss or an experience I've had, but rather all of the lives it has the power to change. I dedicate my life to making a positive impact on as many people as I possibly can, even if I don't know who it is impacting. A blood drive is something that makes a difference; it indirectly saves lives. There is one moment I think about when I think of donating blood. It was the moment I saw what a simple blood donation could do, but not what influenced my decision to donate blood. My cousin was recovering from a scoliosis surgery and needed a blood transfusion. I was in the room when he received the transfusion, and I watched the color return to his face and some life return to him. This reminds me that a blood donation is something that gives people hope, life, and relief. Just to play a small role in giving someone or a family hope, life, or relief is fulfilling. A blood drive can change so many people's lives just by making a simple effort; that is something I want to be a part of.
