Virtual Blood Drive

Hi! My name is Ashton Gutierrez, and I am hosting this blood drive. This blood drive is a blend of my two passions: education and life-saving blood donations. This summer, I started my master's degree in curriculum and instruction with University of Colorado--Denver. This will be my third degree. My hope is to better serve the students of Colorado in new ways which build into my strengths of literacy instruction and creation of educational resources. If you've worked with me, you know how much I love creating a scope and sequence! I've worked with Vitalant for two years, and the blood donation community for six years. My interest in blood donation came from people close to me battling cancer. Through these experiences, I learned how vital whole blood donations and platelet donations can make a difference in people's lives. Through my own personal donations and my volunteer work with Vitalant, I have learned a lot about how many lives people can save through a single donation. You can help me fulfill my dream!
