Virtual Blood Drive

In March 2024 I went to the ER. I had bleeding gums, excruciating mouth pain, and couldn’t walk more than 10 steps without needing to sit and catch my breath. I was told I had advanced and aggressive leukemia and was transferred to a bone marrow transplant hospital where I spent the next 10 weeks fighting for my life. While there I received blood and platelet transfusions on a daily basis to keep me alive...plus dozens more throughout the rest of my months long treatment. As one person, I required HUNDREDS of transfusions total. I wouldn’t be alive today if it weren’t for all the people generous enough to donate blood products. And unfortunately I’ll never be able to donate myself again. So to help give back to all the other people who are also in need of life saving transfusions, Jon and I are hosting a blood drive.
