Virtual Blood Drive

Donating blood is the most selfless and thoughtful thing a person could do. It can make you someone's personal hero. Even if the thought of taking out blood sounds scary like it did for me, it was the best feeling knowing someone out there would be able to live another day because of me. Someone will get to enjoy being with the people they love. Their families won't have to go through the heartbreak of losing them. I cannot imagine the thought of loving someone around me that I care for so much. If spending a few minutes in that chair meant they could live I think it is very worth it in the end. It is important to create a community to be able to depend and fall back on. Creating this blood drive means I can create a community of people who can help others and save lives by donating blood. People who were too afraid to donate before can see that it isn't so scary. They might even decide to donate more frequently which means more lives are saved. We all need a community to depend on if worst comes to worst. Accidents happen very frequently. It can happen in the blink of an eye. No one ever wants to be put in that situation but they are going to need a lifeline of people to depend on. I want to be able to help in creating that.
