Virtual Blood Drive

I’m creating this Virtual Blood Drive because I’ve seen how much our community depends on each other. Living in a border town means so many people cross every single day—for work, school, medical care, and to support their families. Expenses are already overwhelming, and when a medical emergency happens, it adds a layer of stress that no one is ever really prepared for. In those moments, blood donations aren’t just helpful—they’re life-saving. We rely on donors more than people realize. Blood can’t be manufactured, and for families already juggling financial pressure, knowing that blood is available because someone chose to give makes an enormous difference. It means hope. It means one less thing to worry about during an already painful time. I may not be able to solve every challenge our community faces, but I can help create an opportunity for people to step up for each other. That’s why this matters to me. If we show up for one another, even in small ways, it adds up to something powerful. This Virtual Blood Drive is about community, compassion, and doing what we can—because someone out there will need it.
