Why I’m Creating This Virtual Blood Drive I’m hosting this virtual blood drive because I believe that no matter where you are in life—or how little you have—you can still give back and make a difference. Right now, I’m going through one of the hardest seasons of my life. I’m currently homeless, with nothing but the clothes on my back, trying to hold on to hope and a dream of building a better future. My biggest goal is to go to school and study education, because I believe in the power of learning and I want to help others rise up, just like I’m trying to do. Living without a home, a stable place to sleep, or even a hot meal some days is incredibly difficult. It’s isolating, painful, and humbling. There’s a kind of loneliness that comes from feeling forgotten or overlooked, like you’re on the outside of the world looking in. But even in these dark moments, I want to do something meaningful—something that reminds people that no matter what you’re going through, you can still choose to help someone else. That’s why this virtual blood drive matters to me. Blood donations save lives every single day. Whether it’s for accident victims, cancer patients, or those undergoing surgery, one donation can mean the difference between life and death. While I may not have money or a home right now, I still have a voice, and I still care deeply about others. This blood drive is my way of showing that compassion and kindness still matter—especially from people society may overlook. I’m also sharing my story because I’m trying to raise awareness and any scholarship funds possible to help me achieve my dream of going to school. Every dollar and every cent would mean the world to me and help me take one step closer to a future where I can teach, inspire, and help kids—especially those going through tough times like I am now.
