About My Virtual Blood Drive
In April 2022, 3-year-old, Victoria was diagnosed with an extremely rare, life-threatening disease called idiopathic severe aplastic anemia.
She had been a healthy and happy child her entire life, and the diagnosis was a devastating shock to her entire family. For months, Victoria endured weekly blood work, sporadic bleeding, ER visits, and blood transfusions. She needed a bone marrow transplant fast to stay
alive. In preparation for her transplant, she persevered through a grueling regimen of chemotherapy, total body irradiation, and
immunosuppressive therapy. On July 1, 2022 she underwent a bone marrow transplant. Throughout her entire journey, Victoria received transfusions of blood and platelets donated by total strangers (as it is not recommended for family members to donate directly). In honor of National Aplastic Anemia Awareness Day (March 4th), we ask all friends and family to please donate your blood
and platelets in her name. It is our turn to help others just as others helped Victoria.
This is your custom virtual blood drive link. Share this link with friends and family and ask them to click on it to make an appointment to donate; this will ensure that their donation is credited to your virtual blood drive.
