Virtual Blood Drive

I never knew the many uses of blood donations. I thought that it was only for trauma, surgeries, and illnesses like sickle cell anemia. Carlene Clay had Acute Erythroid Leukemia. For two months she received platelets every day and red blood approximately every four days. These donations gave us time with her, and for many in this situation, it could give them time for a cure or remission. I will always be a donor now, and I encourage others to do the same, in honor of my precious momma. She would want to give back everything that was given to her, plus some.
