Virtual Blood Drive

Hello all! Nativity is hosting a blood drive on the Vitalant bus on Sunday, November 23 from 9a to 1p. If you have already signed up, THANK YOU! If you can't make it that day, but still want to donate, I have set up this 'Virtual Blood Drive'. You can use the link provided to make an appointment. You can donate at any Vitalant Donor Center if the Bartlett location is not convenient for you. Blood donation speaks deeply to me both personally and professionally. My father required blood transfusion after his open heart surgery, and I work in the Blood Bank at LeBonheur. Through my work, I see the myriad ways that patients need blood, platelets, and plasma. From accident victims and gun shot wounds, to preemies in NICU and surgical patients, the need is always there. There is no substitute for human blood. If you are at least 16 years old (with parental permission), weigh at least 110 pounds and in good health, you may be eligible to donate. As a long-time donor, I promise you that donating blood makes you feel good. It's all about saving lives!
