Virtual Blood Drive

I’m hosting this virtual blood drive because I’ve seen firsthand how powerful a single donation can be. In my own life and in my work with students, families, and our community, I’ve watched people I care about rely on blood donations during some of the hardest moments they’ve ever faced. Those experiences stay with you. They remind you that behind every bag of donated blood is a real person—a mother, a father, a child, a neighbor—who now has another chance because someone took the time to give. For me, this isn’t just a service project. It’s personal. It’s about honoring the people we’ve lost, supporting the people still fighting, and teaching my students what it truly means to step up for others. I want as many people as possible to feel empowered to save a life, even if they’ve never donated before. A virtual blood drive makes it easier, more accessible, and more meaningful because every participant becomes part of a community-wide act of kindness. I believe that small actions ripple outward. A single donation can save up to three lives—and that impact is something we can all be a part of. That’s why I’m doing this: to bring people together, to inspire compassion, and to help ensure that when someone needs blood, it’s there waiting for them.
