Virtual Blood Drive

As a Midwestern University, final year pharmacy student, I have learned that healthcare is about more than medications and treatments, but people showing up for one another when it matters most. Through community outreach, I have met individuals from many different backgrounds and have seen how important it is to build healthier, stronger communities. More recently, I attended an educational program on sickle cell disease, a condition that also has a connection to my family. Learning about the ongoing need for blood transfusions reminded me that donated blood is not only needed during emergencies, but also for patients managing chronic illnesses every day. That experience reinforced why I wanted to host a blood drive. A blood donation is a simple act that can make a life-changing difference for someone you may never meet. Whether helping a cancer patient, trauma survivor, surgical patient, or someone living with a chronic condition, every donation has the potential to save lives.
