Virtual Blood Drive

Twenty-three years ago, complete strangers donated blood without ever knowing who they were helping. Their generosity saved my life after I suffered an Amniotic Fluid Embolism (AFE), one of the rarest and most devastating complications of childbirth. Nine years later, during another life-threatening pregnancy complication, blood donors saved my life once again. Together, I received 42 units of lifesaving blood – a gift that allowed me to watch my children grow up and share countless moments with my family that I otherwise would have missed. Today, approximately 1 in 83 deliveries requires a blood transfusion, and blood donors continue to provide that same gift of life to mothers, babies, and countless other patients every day. Every donation helps ensure that someone else will have the same second chance I was given.
